Without a doubt this expedition to the Amazon is for lovers of nature, birds, animals, and jungle. Manu National Park today is recognized as one of the best protected areas of mega biodiversity on the planet. For this reason we created this long program, Manu Amazon Rainforest Expedition 7 days, with the goal of discovering more intimate of parts of the Amazon jungle and its diverse inhabitants.

DAY 01: CUSCO-FOREST CLOUD-GUADALUPE LODGE
We’ll pick you up from your hotel at 5:00 AM to travel by minivan through the Andes, cross paths with local people, and traverse wide valleys, to visit Ninamarca (pre-Incan tombs) and colonial Paucartambo, the folk capital of Cusco. Afterward we’ll reach Acjanaco, the entry point to Manu National Park. From there we start our descent by van through dwarf forests and cloud forests that are unique to this region and home to many species of colorful birds, orchids, and a variety of bromeliads.
At night, after the dinner, we’ll take you on a guided walk in search of nocturnal creatures like snakes, frogs, and to a cave of bats.

DAY 02: GUADALUPE LODGE - OXBOW LAKE
After breakfast, we’ll travel in our minivan for an hour, stepping out to do interesting walks in sections in search of birds, monkeys, woodpeckers, etc. We’ll also visit the Animal Rescue Centre, where we can see tapirs, Capybaras, peccaries, monkeys, and sloth. This visit helps support saving animals hurt in the jungle.
After lunch we will make a visit to Oxbow Lake, one of the Lakes most visited by tourists in the Manu Biosphere Reserve. This lake and forest houses very important and interesting species like the hoatzin (a prehistoric bird), Orioles, eagles, woodpeckers, as well as countless types of plants and trees.
Night walk in search of alligators, Capybaras, snakes and amphibians.

DAY 03: MANU RAINFOREST LODGE
After a delicious breakfast, we take our minivan and continue our journey for three hours until you reach the banks of the river Alto Madre De Dios, where our boat awaits us to cross this epic river.
In the afternoon you have free time to be able to rest and relax and enjoy our comfortable facilities at Manu Rainforest Lodge.

DAY 04: RIVER INCHIPATO - SPORT FISHING
After breakfast, we will leave to do some sport fishing with lines and bait, our catch will be our lunch.
On this day we’ll have plenty of chances for wildlife spotting as we cruise along the river, keeping an active watch on both sides for alligators, capybara, monkeys and the rich birdlife that reside her. With luck we can chance on river otters and turtles.

DAY 05: MANU RAINFOREST LODGE - TREEHOUSE LODGE
After breakfast, we will travel in small canoes upstream via the crystal clear waters of the river Palotoa for 45 minutes. We’ll likely see cormorants, fisher eagles and heron, as well as howler and squirrel monkeys. Raptors frequently soar above. We choose the river Palotoa because it’s less busy and gives us more chances to observe this fascinating wildlife in solitude.

DAY 06: HOT SPRINGS - HIKE
After breakfast we will take our motorized boat down the turbulent waters of the Alto Madre De Dios River for twenty minutes to reach the Hot Springs, a place of medicinal thermal waters. Here you can enjoy a relaxing natural bath surrounded by jungle. After lunch, we return by boat upstream through rainforest Amazon for an hour's tour.

DAY 07: MANU RAINFOREST LODGE - CUSCO
Today we head back to the city of Cusco in our minivan. We’ll stop halfway to have lunch in the open air for a final opportunity to observe Manu’s creatures in the wild. We’ll reach Cusco at about 5:00 in the afternoon. We hope you’ll take many unforgettable moments with you from this exclusive expedition and come back to visit us again.

What’s included in the trip?
Manu Rainforest Peru rates include all meals, soft drinks, hot drinks, sparkling wine and beer with meals, accommodations at lodges, excursions with knowledgeable naturalist guides, professional cook (chef), the Manu National Park entrance fee, night walks. We will provide private transportation (boat & minivan). Breakfast and lunch will be available on your last day and are included in the rate. Tubing in the river is also included on your amazon adventure. One great advantage of our “all inclusive” rates is that you will know in advance exactly how much you’re Manu Rainforest Peru vacation will cost. Your only extra expenses will be drinks, boutique purchases, First day breakfast, and Drinking water first day, Personal expenses, we provide gum boots for wetland excursions.

What should I bring to the Jungle?
Please bring comfortable walking shoes, lightweight long pants and long sleeved shirts for our excursions, as well as a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen, extra socks, Dark-colored clothing, Swimwear, sandals and a small personal towel, Water bottle or canteen, mosquito repellant with DEET, and of course your camera with charger and extra batteries, and waterproof ponchos with hoods to protect against rain, torch/flashlight with extra battery. You may wish to include some small items that you can give away to the locals (t-shirts, pens and candies are especially prized). During meals in the dining room we ask our guests to wear casual clothing and shoes or sandals.
